Purpose and Scope
Public access in Tennessee can be straightforward only after the right custodian is identified. The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office maintains the live county-custody roster and receives requests for its own records. The Tennessee Department of Correction has a separate offender search for people in state custody or supervision. Court clerks hold the case path and final outcome. City police departments can retain their own incident and arrest reports.
We bring those distinct official routes together in plain language. The aim is to help a reader tell a current roster record from a historical request, a city report from a county booking, and a booking accusation from a court disposition. No booking image is copied or hosted here.
Information Available Here
The content is organized around the actual systems used in Sullivan County rather than a photo index.
- The home page explains the official roster, booking-record requests, current-custody limits, court follow-up, and Tennessee correctional sources.
- City pages describe the distinct records paths for Kingsport, Bristol, and Bluff City.
- The Most Wanted page explains the documented warrant-confirmation and tip routes when no official public wanted list is located.
- Crime News & Mugshots identifies official releases and local reporting, then distinguishes them from secondary publishers.
Limits of a Private Reference
This service is independent of Tennessee government agencies, the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office, police departments, jails, and corrections offices. We cannot release, hold, or transfer anyone in custody; post bond; arrange a visit; obtain records for a visitor; or offer legal advice.
- Only the relevant custodian can confirm a current custody status.
- Only the court can supply or explain its case disposition.
- Only an originating agency can correct its own record.
- Office contacts, fees, and procedures can change after publication.
Use the original Sheriff’s Office, court, city police, or Tennessee corrections source to confirm a status, charge, release, or record request.
Search Partner Disclosure
Some pages include search tools supplied by outside providers. Those providers set their own terms, results, and prices. If a tool leads to a paid signup, we may receive a referral fee that helps support the site. That arrangement does not give us control over a partner’s service or the results it returns.
